Camola is the result of being at the right place at the right time with the perfect set of knowledge and skills. Claudio and Silvia have been working in Environmental Sciences for the best part of the last decade, focusing on preserving the environment and protecting biodiversity. Their academic experience gave them a great insight into the environmental cost of food.
The idea of edible insects seemed so cool and fitting with their education that they could not let it pass. This, paired with being Italian (and in love with good food!) sparked the idea of starting a food company based around edible insects.
